We respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page provides clear instructions on how to request deletion of your data from StenoTest.
What Data We Store
StenoTest may store the following types of data:
- Account information (name, email address)
- Practice session data and performance statistics
- Payment and subscription information
- User preferences and settings
- Facebook game activity (if you played our Durga Puja Match Game)
How to Request Data Deletion
Important: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you want to permanently delete your data before proceeding.
Method 1: Self-Service Account Deletion
- Log in to your StenoTest account
- Go to your Profile Settings
- Scroll down to the "Delete Account" section
- Click "Delete My Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
- Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 7 days
Method 2: Email Request
If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion via email:
- Send an email to: privacy@stenotest.com
- Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Include the following information:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Phone number (if provided during registration)
- Any additional information to help us identify your account
- We will respond within 72 hours to confirm receipt
- Data deletion will be completed within 30 days of verification
Facebook Game Data
If you played our Durga Puja Match Game on Facebook:
- Game data is stored separately by Facebook
- To delete Facebook game data, use Facebook's app removal process:
- Go to Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites
- Find "Durga Puja Match Game" or "StenoTest"
- Click "Remove" to delete all associated data
- You can also email us to remove any game-related data we store
What Happens After Deletion
- Your account will be permanently deactivated
- All personal information will be removed from our servers
- Practice data and performance statistics will be deleted
- Any active subscriptions will be cancelled
- You will receive an email confirmation when deletion is complete
Data We Cannot Delete
Some data may be retained for legal or business purposes:
- Transaction records (for tax and accounting purposes) - anonymized after 7 years
- Customer support communications - anonymized after 3 years
- Data required for fraud prevention and security
This retained data will be anonymized and cannot be linked back to you.
Backup and Recovery
Warning: Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Make sure to download any important data before requesting deletion.
To download your data before deletion:
- Log in to your account
- Go to Profile Settings
- Click "Download My Data"
- You will receive an email with your data export within 24 hours
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for payments and analytics. To delete data from these services:
- Razorpay (Payments): Contact Razorpay directly or email us to facilitate deletion
- Google Analytics: Data is automatically anonymized and cannot be linked to individuals
- Facebook: Use Facebook's privacy settings to manage your data
